Message to DRC students regarding coronavirus and DRC services

Many of you saw the message from Chancellor Larive that was sent out 3/10/20 about campus actions designed to improve health and safety and limit coronavirus (COVID-19) risk on campus. Some recommendations may adjust as conditions change. Students should continue to check for COVID-19 campus updates

We at the DRC felt it was important to also send a message particularly tailored to the disability community because many of you have contacted us with questions. We have provided resources regarding exam accommodations and DRC operations below.

Student Exam FAQ - If you are encountering an access issue with your course, please contact your course instructor and copy your DRC Service Coordinator on the message.

DRC Operational Updates

  • The DRC office is closed indefinitely due to social distancing requirements. Operations/services continue via email, phone, and Skype appointments. Email DRC@ucsc.edu to make a phone appointment.

COVID-19 Statement and Resources

We know that COVID-19 can be more of a concern for individuals with disabilities than to the general population. With the current coronavirus situation, change is happening fast. Check out the links below for helpful information.

We want you to know that you are important to us and we are available by phone to answer any questions you might have about disability-related access needs.

If you have questions or concerns, we invite you to contact the DRC office. Appointments are also available for students remotely. Please contact the DRC at drc@ucsc.edu or (831) 459-2089 to schedule an appointment.

Sincerely,

The Disability Resource Center Team
