Service Request Reminder:
If you are in need of accommodations this quarter please complete a Service Request Form ASAP if you haven’t already done so. Most of you have completed the Information Sheet for the year so you may request your services online. Please go to our web site at http://drc.ucsc.edu click on Current DRC Students, click on Request Services. You may pick up your packet of paperwork two days after submitting your online Service Request Form.
Important! Exam Accommodations:
All DRC students eligible for exam accommodations are expected to submit their requests for exam accommodations within the /first two weeks of the quarter/. Requests must be made no later than 10 business days before an exam. This is the minimum time frame necessary for professor notification, and for departments to arrange proctors and rooms. The only exceptions are:
* Students with unanticipated, last minute injuries (e.g. broken arm)
* Students new to the DRC who have not yet been oriented to
procedures (this orientation takes place during the first meeting
between a student and a Coordinator).
* Students who have been given less than 10 business days notice for
an exam (e.g. at the beginning of the quarter or a "pop" quiz/exam).
While the DRC will make every attempt to assist students who meet the exceptions above, the DRC cannot guarantee accommodation arrangements for last minute requests.
Announcement Regarding Illness:
The winter months are virus season. If you have a cold, the flu or another contagious virus, please make a phone appointment instead of coming to the DRC in-person. Some of our students have disability-related weaknesses in their immune systems, making them more susceptible to contagions. In addition, the staff wants to stay healthy so we can best serve everyone. Thank you!
Reminder Tutor Sign-ups:
